The air is filled with puffs of colour. Children are running around aiming pichkaris like handguns. Elders are rubbing each others’ faces with colourful hands. The whole country has stopped for a day to splash around in colour.
It’s the day when our world of gray concrete with sparse green here and there wears a coat of red, green, blue, pink.
I love it!
I only wish our lives could be as colourful as this day, where we can run around like maniacs chasing friends with eggs in our hands.
Let’s drink bhang and throw colour till day light ends. We’ll all be scrubbing ourselves for hours in the bathroom anyway later.
Have a crazy holi everyone! 🙂
